Those who reply seriously to questions on YA are not really interested in amassing points; the points just happen to come. What is sad is that even a flippant or rude one word answer gets the same 2 points as a well-researched answer.
Quantity is not relevant but quality is, in YA, but quality cannot be judged even from the number of best answers! YA can at best be a forum for those serious seekers who want to learn more from others, and are willing to wade through all the answers to find a worthwhile one - veritably looking for a needle in a haystack!
