Eliminate the need for excessive THINGS. Remember that in everything you own, none of it was free. Even gifts and donations were paid for by your creating a situation to deserve it. SO you have to travel to it, acquire it, store it, and maintain it, and it usually requires some resource to USE it. Often this is a cycle of working harder to get more things, having less time to use them, and needing things to keep you working...car, wardrobe, commuting money...very unfulfilling life. Plus if you are renting or buying a home full of things you don't use/love/need...then you are tripping over money, chasing a lifestyle you don't even enjoy.
Set appropriate priorities and goals. What is your legacy that you are creating? Is it career, family, self-satisfaction? How does each aspect of your life improve your WHOLE life? Do you know that addressing SELF first is honestly the ONLY way to be available to others?
Identify needs separately from wants. Do and have everything you NEED, and about half of what you WANT. Don't do something you WANT to do, that conflicts with something you NEED to do.
Use the green triangle to your advantage. Everything you do to save money, usually benefits your health, and usually benefits the environment. NOW these are true savings here, not initial investments...such as a house with or without solar panels. More expensive up front to go WITH solar panels but the savings play out later. Classic example of the green triangle is buying a bike instead of a car: gives you exercise, reduces your expenses, no pollution.
