well... i have built a new computer... everything is new... including the HDD... no OS and stuff...
do i just insert the windows xp CD in and install the OS or i have to set up the HDD first? How do i set up a HDD? with the windows cd inserted or not.... aw... so may things i do not understand... plz help... thx!!!

Also make sure to remember to install your anti virus software before you connect to the web. It will give you that little more protection. Then log on, and connect. It will the update everything.

If you have built the PC correctly, then all you've got to do is pop the OS CD in and follow the instructions. In most cases, if something is not right somewhere, you will get a message pointing to troubled spot.

OK, well first, yes you do want to setup windows. Go into your BIOS when the PC starts up and make sure that it checks to boot from CD before from HDD. Then pop the CD in and go, you should be able to take it from there.

The XP cd will take care of setting up the HD.

The Windows CD will do it all for you. Just follow the prompts.Put the CD in and boot up!
