Chexmix~~~~~~~ I got a brown table with sandy coloured legs of two by fours holding up an old kitchen table for my computer. The room I have this set up in is a bedroom from my wife's youth. She chose a patterned wallpaper of green leaves, maple and fern leaves from the early nineteen seventies. A flat white ceiling and a dirty ochre carpet older than the wallpaper compliments the walls. A Honey brown door with a set of very poor windows finishes off the old converted bedroom.Around the walls shelves upon shelves of books fill the space with a variety of colours and hues from technical books, art books, biblical books, shop books, wood magazines, and an assortment of ornaments. Some of the shelves are painted a light purple or just raw plywood, and other shelves are white melamine and dark oak stained pine an inch thick. There is a smattering of clothes that give bright reds, oranges and blues to the atmosphere and when the light shines through the northern exposed windows we have a very interesting room of colours. There is a huge cork board of wine bottle corks that give a speckled brown above the computer and a small amount of my artwork is tacked here and there about the room, that adds more colour to the drab m.d.f. wood of some of my shelves.
That's about it for my room.

Grey will be too dark and it really doesn't match. Why don't you change out your curtains to a CHOCOLATE BROWN WHITE DAMASK print. Also, get some white throw pillows for your bed as well (or white shams). Don't let the walls be your focus, let the bedding be. If you paint your walls too dark you'll feel like you're in a cave and get a headache every AM when you wake up. Trust me, this is from experience. Do a nice soft color like almond... Benjamin Moore has great colors.

Mine is the same color as yours as is the wall. It is an apartment so they are bare. My desk is covered in scratches and a little paint from the custom action figures that I make. I wish it was all black.

The desk here (at my office) is an ugly mint green that was purchased on discount from the lumber yard because they couldn't get rid of it. The walls were white at one time, they're kind of dirty now.
