The advice my doctor gave me when I took long flights was to get up and walk once an hour. You are at a higher risk of blood clots while pregnant and this should help prevent them. I would also carry some snacks too. I always kept a granola bar or something in my purse cause you never know when you might need it. Also, whenever I was more than 2 hours away from my doctor, I carried a copy of my pregnancy medical record just in case something should happen and I needed to see a doctor. Have Fun!

My wife traveled to Botswana & South Africa at 24 weeks, had no problems, just move about alot on the flight. She had jabs for all the nasty bugs, most important was the water born virus's as these can REALLY be bad. Also I would advise against malarya tablets but see a travel nurse!

With the kinds of things going on in that area of the world right now I wouldn't risk going there, but some things to remember are to be careful about the water you drink. Bottled water will be safer than anything else. Be careful not to eat foods that could be contaminated or cause food posioning like fish. and raw vegetables. Make sure you have all of your shots.

Wow what fun!
That is a long period of time to be sitting, try to prop up your feet as best you can, on top of your bag or something. That might be hard, but try. Be sure to keep drinking alot of water or liquids (water is best) and take it easy. Elevating your feet when you are sitting for long periods of time helps circulation and helps with any swelling in your feet that might occur. You are early enough along that you might not find this to be problematic, but it would not hurt!

Oh and sunscreen for that sunshine that you are going to be in!! I am in -1 degree temps this morning in Colorado, I am jealous!

Have a great time!
