Most of the books in my collection are about serial killers.

No, not at all.
If you like reading about serial killers, then you go ahead and read about serial killers! (Ok, that sentence sounds quite funny...)

It's what interests you that counts. It'd be better to read something interesting than to read something boreing and normal. So do what you want.

Just don't get any ideas, if you know what I mean. :p

I like your avatar, btw - very funky. :)

Not strange.
My bookshelf is filled with fantasy and magic stuff
My sister's bookshelf is full of horses and old west stuff
My mom's bookshelf has a ton of world travelers logs
and my Dad has a bunch of space missions and techno-thrillers

it's just what you are into ( infact i have a book about famous people of Alcatraz)

sometimes we need to walk in shadow or else, when would we know when we walked in the light?
-Abarat
by Clive Barker

btw, like Piss on U says, I do find i have a strange atraction to the darker side of life...
(especially to Christopher Carrion)*

It would make me wonder why you liked them, but I like books about them too and I have no particular reason, I like to study the attorneys in them and how they behave. Also you might be a writer and that might be your area of writing. Mystery is fun some times if you want to see the other side reading books like that is better then doing it. I don't know if it is strange or not?

Not really, they've kind of been a fad in popular literature in the last quarter-century or so.

I work in the prison library and you would be amazed how many of the cons read that sort of stuff.

I guess the real question is why do you find your interest going in that direction?
