having syncronised my wii remotes to a friend's wii, my unit is now not recognising them even when I press the sync buttons on the remote and the base unit. is there a 'master reset' or any thing else I can try as getting a little bored of sitting there pressing the little red buttons with no joy?

i hope this works, i had the same problem. turn the system off. now turn it on from the system. when you get to that black screen that says, press a, stay at that screen. now open the flap thats in the front of the wii. its where the memory card goes. there is a red button there. press and hold it for 30 seconds. to be sure, hold it for a minuite. it either does one of two things. it will take you to the next screen, or it will do nothing. either way is ok. so after you press and hold that button, let it go, and press the red button on the back of the wiimote. the botton thats where the batteries go. all the lights should start blinking on the controller and then it should recogonize it. i hope this works. pressing and holding that red button on the wii resets all the previous memory of the wiimote. so you are starting just like its out of the box. dont worry, all its doing is the memory from the controller, nothing else. good luck
