i was wondering if you have to stand there with your pats down and your penis hanging or if you get a gown and he feels up it?

If you're getting a full physical the nurse will tell you to put on the gown but keep your undies on . The doc has you take off the gown when he needs you too, for the complete exam, it makes more sense that way. You'd drop the undies when prompted.

If it's just the testicular exam itself, probably just undies and then you drop them.

Don't worry about it, docs have seen it all and are there to help you.

My son had an exam just a year or so ago, I took him to my Doctor, we all discussed the "problem" for a minute or so and I stepped out of the room for him to do the exam. No gown, my son said he just dropped trow and the doctor rolled his chair right up to get a closer" look" and yes, "feel". Typically an exam does require this. I couldn't imagine one without that part. I think if your comfortable with the doctor, no problem. If your not, then get another one. What is the difference, you getting covered up so the doctor has trouble seeing or has to lifts it up to see? Or you just make it easier on the doctor and get over being embarrassed, leave the gown off so he/she can see what they are examining better. Most of you should be glad someone wants to look and feel.

Normally you guys are all about showing that off anyway!

This is primarily on preference of the doctor. Some prefer a gown that can be lifted and some just use the pants down method. Either way they not only will do a manual exam of the testicles but will also be doing a visual exam as well. You don't state your age but a rectal exam to check the prostate may be included as well.

Never had a gown when I had this done, urologist usually just has me drop my pants and underwear, and he handles the merchandise quickly and professionally, then has me bend over the table for the more invasive portion!
I doubt many require gowns, they would just be in the way, easier just to drop the pants.

Uusally doctors will ask you to get into a goes for a full exam, but it is not uncommon for him to just ask you to lower your pants and underwear. Dont forget to cough :)
