I have someone who keeps calling me, with a private number. It's really irritating as my phone is a business line. Is there anyway of finding out who is phoning or blocking them?

HI. Unfortunately if number is withheld then you cannot find out who it is. If you are with BT call them - residential service has choose to refuse to block specific numbers from calling you (whether known or not) - I'd imagine business would have something along these lines too.
Good luck

My phone company, AT&T offers a Privacy Manager service where callers from private numbers don't ring through.

You might want to call your phone company and see if they offer something similar.

It's probably a telesales line. add your number onto the telephone preference list, thus stopping companies being able to call you with marketing calls, unless you have specifically requested information from them or expressed an interest in their services.

If you are on BT you can block numbers, but you have to pay for this service. Ring up customer care and ask about it. Only other option is change your number.

Sure... Just open your phone book to the front. The information pages will instruct you on how to do both.
