That depends on whether or not you believe the terrorists and their sympathizers and appeasers.

Tragedy has nothing to do with 9/11 from an American perspective.........

Read the followings and you decide for yourself

A tragic hero is one who, on his own volition, attempts to attain or protect a value despite the fact that he knows he is risking his life to that end and loses his or her life during that risky struggle for the value which he sees to be higher than his or her own life.

Read carefully and decide if it is the suicidal bombers or the Americans experienced a tragedy

Let me sort out the characteristics of tragedy for you:
He should be well informed about his situation.

He should deliberately attempt to accomplish a virtuous act.

He must be sane to risk his life in exchange of the value he seeks for.

He must lose his life or a precious asset in his life or he must suffer at the end of his action.

If somebody tells you something different about what tragedy is, just spit at his or her face...

If you have any further question to ask, just ask me....

"Nietzche and Hegel are "nobodies" for me in this respect" ....

Aristotle as far as the poetics is concerned is not even a "nobody"

Tragic flaw is misjudgement or miscalculation. It is a slight error which wouldnt otherwise make a tragic person a base one. But a true tragic hero doesnt need to have a tragic flaw at all. Does Antigone have a tragic flaw? NOOOO... What about Oedipus? NOOOOO...

The US, before it became a world power was a great country. You implored the RAF to stop carpet bombing Germany cities, but you scummed to a greater power and used the same tactics yourself - unwillingly i must add.

But as your power increased you've done some quites shameful stuff. like how you refuse to officially apologise for the use of agent orange on a civilian population (in Vietnam)

Its ironic that the bomb making skills used to kill many of your soldiers came from your CIA. When you start spreading peace, I'm sure it will eventually find you.

Until then the only thing looking for the US is the violence and hatred that its been spreading for the past 50 years.

No the article doesn't have a point. We had to bomb Germany because otherwise, they would be ruiling the continent killing everyone. We bombed Japan because they attacked us. When civilians died, they were not the primary target.

If someone came up and hit your girlfriend, what would you do? Would you blame yourself? What if you hit someone when you were in grade school? Would the fact that you hit someone in grade school justify someone else hitting your girlfriend?

No economic policy or previous action justifies killling civilians, with the intention of killing civilians.

Please leave the US if you don't like it. Why don't you go to a country that rolls over every time they are attacked... like France!

I read this article and worked my way back here to answer. I suggest that you find more reliable sources than this. The author can't even spell. The things we did in WWII were justified. Hitler was a bad guy. If you think 9/11 was our fault, you need to apologize to bin Laden.

No, that article does not have a valid point, 9/11 happened because the U.S. lives in a "pornographic" (to quote a leader) society. In other words they hate our modern way of life.

Fault, yes,
As planned, yes.
We knew of it ahead of time and let it happen anyway.
Don't think so ?

Then tell me why the IRS can find me when I make a 25 cent error on my taxes to collect their $110 fine.

Tell me why we can find a dictator hinding in a hole in the middle of no-where but we can't find some flamboyent Arab terrorist everyone in the world can identify with a $25 million bounty on his head.

The cause of 9/11 specifically is extremely complex. It can never be justified, though it is true that America can be reckless and violent with the rest of the world. We bomb them and they bomb us has been a theme that recurrs over and over in history. Someone somehwere has to stop the violence.

I think sometimes we stick our noses where they are not wanted, but nobody deserves what happened to those people. I think our government may have messed up by not seeing the warning signs and ignoring people that tried to warn them.

Absolutely not. Read 'Hatreds Kingdom' by Dore Gold.
