I of coarse like everyone else made a resolution to lose weight for the new year, well anyways I started working out this month and I have yet to have my period this month. I'm close to 2 weeks behind and pregnancy test just keep saying negative. So I was wondering if it could be from the exercising because I'm starting to wonder and worry about it. Thanks for reply to whoever does.

Not usually, unless you are not eating enough to sustain your body.

It could though if you are exercising to the point of passing out. To much exercise can be bad, believe it or not.

yes oh yes oh definitely yes exercise can DEFINITELY affect your period!!! I know this from personal experience.... my last period was two weeks late and I was going through the "oh my gosh I'm preg!!!" phase, but eventually period made its fashionably late appearance (just over two weeks late).

I have been training for a half marathon - but exercise is new to me (I'm notoriously lazy and un sporty!) so the sudden running 20 - 30 km's a week made my period late.

BUT if it doesnt show or if it's late again next month then DEFINITELY get it checked out!!! but I'd say its a once off late period as your body adjusts to the exercise.

Don't worry, it's normal. I'm late too and I know I'm not pregnant. It's all the diet and exercising. When ever I start another exercise routine...(which is every year..lol) I always miss that months cycle because of it. I got nervous the first time and went to my Dr. and she said it was because of the diet and exercising. Once your body gets use to what your doing it will soon be back.

Actually it can cause irregularity in your cycle, the female body requires a certain amount of body fat before it can produce the hormones that causes the ova to drop. Since you just started this month I don't believe that is the case. Give it a few days don't stress over it too much and retake the test. If it is still negative, go see your OB/GYN.

Yes. Women undergoing rigorous training frequently stop periods completely. If continued long enough levels of estrogen drop dramatically as the fat burns off, breasts largely or completely disappear and even some tendency to develop male characteristics like facial hair in some instances.

in case you're very athletic, that could reason a woman's era to be previous due. there is likewise a topic that motives a era to be somewhat stunning. Your terrific guess is to circulate talk on your physician. they are able to place you on BC, which will regulate your era so it happens on the comparable time each and each month. i'm uncertain what the consumer till now me skill till she is insinuating which you're pregnant, yet having intercourse shouldn't reason your era to be chronically previous due.

Anything can cause you to be late. Just try ending your workout a little earlier so you will be able to leave sooner. Then you won't be late.
