I'm 15 weeks pregnant and sometimes when I pee I smell "period" or iron. You know what your period smells like, well sometimes I smell that when I pee. I have had no period since September 27, 2006 and there's been no blood. What could be the cause of this?

I cannot say for sure since I am not a Dr. and that doesn't sound right. If I were you I would call your Dr. and tell him about it. The iron smell could be from your prenatal vitamins if you are taking prenatal's. If I were you I would call your OB and let him/her know so that way you can get checked just to make sure that you don't have a bladder infection or any other type of infection. If you are taking prenatal vitamins, that is probably what that smell is. They contain alot of iron, and what is not used is expelled in your urine.

You need to check with your doctor...how much water do you drink...that could be it the issue not enough water or your prenatal pills may have to much iron in them and it could be to much in your system

you could be developing a iron deficiency. take iron supplements daily to correct. i had the same thing. you also may be also be face an "invisible" UT. see doctor asap

I would definately call the doctor. It could be a sign of infection.
