I've had to deffend Paganism on numerous occasions against my peers (the awful school kids!!!) anyway, Christianity is a take off of Paganism, they stole our God and made him into Satan and they twisted all our beliefs, not that we're bitter or anywthing, that would be wrong to hold a grudge!!
All the worlds wars have rooted into religion - who ever is fighting who-, it's stupid that we kill each other just to make our god's seem better than the other peoples, if gods exsisted then why would we need to try and convert people???? anyway, it's all the same person/ being just with different names!

Christians do not actually pick fights with you over your beliefs ( well that has been my experience but by subtle means they go out of their way to tell you that your views are wrongs and slowly incorporate their quotes and citations from hte bible. Some people of the christian faith are very charasmatic and one can find them selves thinking " i would not mind making a friend out of you" however when it is apparent that you wont bend to their will and become a christian and stay with your own beliefs they (the christian people) toddle off to find other souls to save. Their basic view is that the bible is right, Jesus was concieved by a virgin and any arguement outside this plain and simple fact is blasphony. that spirits cant come back and communicate to the living etc etc. at the end of the day dispite these people being kind and their intentionsin general terms good its a relief to see them go away to save other way ward souls. It just has not got throught tosome christians the act of free will and self determination and that some 30 - 40 year old people with alternative views have alrady made an informed decision to believe in something alternative and that should be respected.

I can't remember a time I've argued or fought about my religion, because I don't mind if other people don't approve of what I believe, and I have no reason to try to change what they believe. The only thing I can think of is when I bought a new copy of a Raymond Buckland book about witchcraft, and when I got home there was a copy of "Left Behind" in my bag as well. I took it back, and the same clerk was there, and I said I needed to return the "Left Behind" book because I hadn't bought it. "But don't you want to read it?" she asked, looking heartbroken. "I didn't buy it," I repeated. "It isn't mine." And I left it with her.
But that's neither argument nor fight. Voices weren't raised. At worst, her feelings seemed a little hurt that I wouldn't read the book and immediately be filled with the enlightenment of it. Poor kid.

Have you ever read Gates of Splendor about Jim Elliot and the Auca Indians? It's a very sad, but uplifting book and he could teach us ALL a few things. That is one of the greates spiritual struggles that I've ever heard of.
I am a christian, and i have read the other reviews, and I do witness when I get the chance, but I don't go around condeming people to hell. You will go there if you aren't saved, but there is a right way AND a wrong way to tell someone that. obviously, many of you have recieved the wrong end of that.
Also, one other thing I need to point out, is that there is a big difference between CATHOLICS and CHRISTIANS! Catholics believe in salvation by works, Christians in salvation by faith. Catholics worship Mary as a diety, but Christians worship God.

my ex told me I was 'lost' I get the burning lake of fire all the time.
I was standing with my sister at Canterbury train station, I also had my 2 year old son with me. He was in his pushchair and making a fuss because he'd been in it most of the day he was tired just the usually toddler grievances. Anyway this day happened to be the day of a huge gathering of Christian clergy at the cathedral (on the way to Canterbury we got on the train with loads of them I lost count of those 'looks' hehehe) so at the station I give my son a biscuit to keep him quiet for a few minutes when this vicar and his wife stand very near us she just stares at my visible religious items and our appearance, nothing to outlandish, then takes it upon herself to see what my son is eating! she says to me in a very worried voice whilst leaning right in his face "what is it that he's eating there!" with a look as though I'd given him a rusty blade to chew on. I was aware in case he was choking but no he was fine singing to himself eating his white chocolate biscuit. I just said "a biscuit, my washing machine loves it" I don't think she thought I would use one of those either.
it wont ever end, most christians are a bit funny in the head.

Other than the fact that Christianity has used God as an excuse to commit some of the most heinous crimes in history, which I'm sure God is absolutely thrilled about (yeah right). Ever seen Dogma?

Cromwell killed loads and loads of poor irish folk,. He was christian.
It happened because he kept giving all the glory to god (she has been the instigator of millions of murders) and thought that gave him a licence to kill.
