fx= sport style front end or a 19" or 21" front wheel in this case 21" front wheel
d= dyna models
wg= wide glide models

never heard of fxrwg but there is a fxwg, older model.
fxr is the frame design of a differnt model and yes many people beleive this to be the best rideing and handleing motorcycle harley davidson had ever made. and they are highly sought after and reconditioned. also a lot of drag racers use this frame or used to anyway.
fxwg like is stated earlier is older version differnt motor

the difference is in year of manufacture. FXWG was made from 1980-1986. FXDWG was made from early 1990's through present. and FXRWG as far as i am aware never exsisted (if someone tells you they have one of these it is most likely created in the garage.)

They all have the wide forks (the wg - wide glide desigination) so the main diff. is the frame configuration; except the dwg also has rubber mounted engine/tranny feature.
