Yes, it is mainly psychological ... unless of course they hack into your financial or personal data. Then the damage can be quite tangible.

The feeling of ones privacy being invaded & abused is very disturbing & troubling for some people.
It can spawn phobeas & feelings of apprehension when performing certain online tasks on their PCs.

psychological???? no.... yes...

Im sure eventually psychologicaly you could be affected...

A hacker can #1 steal your identity if they find the applicable information they need, such as your social security number or your credit card information.

A hacker can also destroy your computer files for the sheer fun of it, or use your pc to send viruses to other people...

Psychologicaly speaking, that depends on how you take what happens...
