When I was in Thailand, I saw a bright falling star above the sky for a 2-3 seconds. I just want to know from any myths and culture if there is any meaning for a person to see a fallen star. Please comment.

I love seeing falling stars. They are pretty to start with. But, where I'm from in the U.S. you wish upon a falling star and your wish is supposed to come true.

In my opinion falling stars are rare. This past summer, I'd sit outside in my porch swing and would see 4 or 5 a night. I wished on all of them. Most of my wishes have come true.

Dang, they aren't stars. They are bits and pieces of cosmic junk that got caught in our atmosphere and burned up.

However, having said that, in some belief systems, a falling star was considered not a good omen--like comets. But people believe what they want to and don't have anything to support the belief, often. I wish I could say more. Sorry I can't help you more.

Make a wish, and put it in your pocket. Then, when the time is right, let it out to the Universe. You'll know when its time. Your wish will come true.

Only meaning I would be concerned with is that I wasn't in it's path.
