I think that Riquelme is a really good soccer player and is going to affect a little bit the national team and all the people that like him is going to be really sad to see him reritied never see him playing again.

I'm a huge Argentina and Riquelme fan but to tell you the truth he was terrible at the last world cup. i don't think he would be that great for us in the next WC. maybe its a little early yes but he hasn't done much the past two season anyways. and no it will not effect the Argentina team.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

he's irreplaceable. none in the present squad has riquelme's instincts and mastery of the game. he may not be as quick and agile as the young players but he's got an innate understanding of the game which some of these players may never gain even with experience. and he didn't "retire", he quit bec.he was being unfairly blamed for argentina's poor finish in the wc. i think it was a pretty euphemism used to avoid discussion of the real issues.

I propose come on!! Sorry, keep on cricketeers!! Jolly good instruct chaps! :0) sorry

he is a great player, but i dont think it will make a BIG difference on the team...Argentina has a great squad of excellent players, Aimar is good at the same position i think...they'll do well without him...it was a mistake from him though, quitting the national team...
