Actually I'll join you in the minority.

I prefer pads. I feel safer and healthier. I use tampons when I absoultely have to, but I am constantly aware of it. I just feel like tampons are an invasion and I am actually inserting something 'foreign'. It seems more unclean to me, since it is actually bringing bacteria inside, rather than just allowing the normal flow to happen (which is also flushing out any other nasties).
I might add that I am a very clean person, and my nether regions are well kept and cleaned regularly. I also change my pads frequently as I am a bacteria freak.

I prefer pads. Only wear tampons if I'm wearing clothes that may show the outline of the pad, no matter how thin it is. There are also special shields that you can wear if you want to go swimming. They're better than tampons in the water. Ask a lady in the drugstore about them.

Well, to be completely honest it depends what mood i am in.I am usually quite active and i like to stick with tampons usually. However, there are times when i am just lounging around the house, and then ill use pads.Basicly,i like tampons when i know i am going to be extremely active that day and pads if i know i wont be doing much.As i just feel a little more at ease with tampons. So,i prefer both depending on my mood, lol.Everyone is different tho and it is just a matter of preference.I think that there are just many who prefer pads as there are those who prefer tampons.

I used to think tampons were great but I've decided I feel a little better using pads. There's something about the idea of a filthy piece of cotton sitting inside my body that bothers me a bit. I feel it's healthier to let that stuff out of my body rather than let it build up inside. I do feel like a child with a diaper sometimes though. I will use tampons occasionally but it's been awhile.

Personally I use pads and always have. I found tampons uncomfortable and my doctor advised me against them when I was having female issues. Pads today are much more comfortable than they were 15-20yrs ago. Plus I think pads just allow your body to clean itself out better and you don't run the risk of infection.

Tampons. I feel like I'm wearing a mini diaper when I have a pad on. Plus Tampons make you feel cleaner.

Tampons for sure. Pads to me seem like wearing diapers.

When I had my period, i used pads for the first couple of days..for some reason tampons bothered my belly. after that i used tampons. pads are way to bulky and stinky!

I use a combination of tampons and Insteads. I tried pads once but never went back- too bulky, I would be changing it every 10-15 min, uncomfortable, and make me itchy. Insteads or something similar are your best bet, if you are looking for something you can leave in for many hours, but don't want to use a tampon.

I like pads, it seems like tampons cause me to cramp more and extends the length of my period.
