Half Blood Prince was excellent, it answered a lot of questions from previous books, but it also brought up more questions, especially about Snape, hopefully they'll all be answered when Deathly Hallows comes out.

I agree with shl- it brings out even more mysteries!
All of the books had problems that at the end were solved, but I think the 6th book is more so. Usually, J.K.Rowling drops us hints and puts in subtle clues to figure out the mystery, but book 6 left me bewildered.
Yeah, it's a definite marketing strategy. Also to release books every couple of years so that everyone's getting hungry for them ;) (that's not the only reason though).
*THe question of Snape's loyalty to Dumbledor- the good side- has been gaining momentum since the very first book. The 6th book has got me going crazy!! In the seventh, we'll finally see what's going on.
*What's with the horcruxs?? And where's Harry supposed to find them, now that Dumbledore's gone? That's a complex subject, maybe it wasn't a good idea for rowling to stuff this in the last two books. I guess she knows what she's doing, though.
Those are the two main mysteries. I have a feeling #7's going to be real big.

Definitely, but she did that on purpose, after all, who would read these wonderful books without the mysteries?
Not to mention it adds a great atmosphere.
