You can usually judge if someone is shy by taking a closer look.
The way he dresses: is he using colors that would usually come up noticed? Or he likes to blend in with the surrounding scene?
The way he acts and speaks: is he using big gestures that draw all the attention or he likes to keep quiet and only speaks when he's asked. Is he laughing out loud or likes to cover his mouth and mimes laughing? Where can you find him in a room full of people? Is he in the middle or he likes to hide behind someone taller?
So, just try to judge him by answering some simple questions. But, you also have a small chance of misinterpretation if the person you're keeping eyes on has a bad day, for example.
Talking less may mean different things, depends on the person. He could be shy, inexperienced, not as social as you are etc.

One the highest quality a woman can have is shyness. Nothing worse than a loose woman, and of course if she is good looking we all know what men want from her. Remain shy and I am sure a decent person will appreciate this. You are doing OK. Intelligent people only speak as necessary, fools are always speaking nonsense thinking this will make them look smart, little do they know that a fool reveals himself when speaks.

1- from the people if they say that this person is shy.
2-from ur feelings.
3-from his/her acting but this can't give u a best answer if they r shy or not just 50%.

you can usually tell if a person is shy by their body language and it could be either for your second question, they could be reserved or they could be shy just trying to pretend a bit of confidence by talking to you.

i dont think you can for the first question and relaxed is the answer to the second question.it far easier at the end of the day to let someone else do all the talking.

If they are shy, they don't want you judging them, and they don't brag on anything that relates on relationships, if they do brag, then they are reserved (as in they have date).
