Classic and Elegance (and also Avant-Garde and Sport) are the trim levels of the Mercs. Classic is like the one with the least stuff. Then the Elegance, Avant-Garde and Sport. The prices increase in that order as well. Buy one that suits you.

The Compressor (or Kompressor, as they call it) is basically the 'forced induction' unit. Does the same thing as turbocharger. More Oomph! Lets say if you are considering the E200 and the E200 Kompressor, I say go for the latter one. Though I'm not sure how it will effect the fuel consumption.
