i've handed in an assignment that i have given to the lecture before. its a similar question and just couldnt come up with new stuff. i changed the layout of the assignment and inserted some new stuff. for example a sentence that was at the end of paragraph in old assignment i put in middle or start of paragraph in this and added in some new references and experience but its pretty much the same text. is this exceptable. has anyone else ever done something like this.

i should have said its not exact same assigment it same topic. old assignment was advantages and disadvantages of topic using evidence from literature and practice, this one was benefits of topic for me using evidence from literature and practice so just use the advantages, literature and experiences from practice from old assignment. added some new experiences and references but otherwise its the same except i've swapped paragraphs and senctences.

My husband has! Not sure if you can get into trouble. All I know is that it's HIS work, so I don't know why that would matter but you know how people can make rules as they go along.

It sounds like you've done about all you could do, if indeed he gave the same assignment twice. If it's your work, you can re-submit the same stuff unless you were told otherwise.

It sounds as if (1) the lecturer made a mistake, and it certainly happens, or (2) the two assignments were not, in fact, identical. In that case, you could be penalized for misreading instructions, but certainly not for any ethical shortcomings.

in general, it's not okay to use the same work for 2 assignments. every undergraduate and graduate school i have gone to has noted that as a violation of the honor code

however, the best bet for you is to just ask the teacher what his or her policy is on this. it's better to ask now and find out then to get into trouble later and find out the hard way

Well if you wrote it sure, because it's not plagiarism because you wrote it. Just don't tell the professor.
