Breastfed babies 'bulk up' faster than formula fed babies....this usually peaks around 5 -6 months and starts to diminish after solids are introduced and he is getting less breastmilk...he wont actually LOOSE weight...but he will grow taller and meet up with his weight. By the time he is walking ...he will loose lots of the pudge...dont stress about this AT ALL! If by 3 -4 YEARS old baby is still fat...OK, then you can stress....lol

My son was 10 lbs 5 oz. (4.7 kg) at birth (yes, my wife had a C-section). He looked chunky - his arms and legs looked like little links of sausage. But he outgrew it. He's now almost 17 years old, is 6 feet (1.82 meters) tall, and is as healthy as a horse. Your baby will be fine. Just be sure that he gets appropriate exercise as he gets older. This won't be a problem when he starts walking and running - you won't be able to keep up with him! But when he discovers television and computers, be sure to keep him active in other ways. Ride a bike, go for a walk, ski, yard work, anything where he's physically active. He will appreciate it some day.

No all little ones enhance at diverse weights, my toddler grow to be 14lb 6oz at 5 months and at 9 months she grow to be precisely 18lbs, she purely won an oz. in a month. you will locate the babys weight is going up particularly speedy until eventually you commence solids and your toddler turns into lively. My woman is consistently on the pass, crawling, rolling, status and walking, even fidgeting burns energy. So i might say while your toddler reaches the 8 month mark you will word the burden slowly creeps on yet it is general. My buddies toddler is a month older and is 23lbs, plenty larger than my toddler yet she is taller and has a various build, the top distinction is astounding as my toddler has tiny helpful properties yet long limbs, then my different buddies toddler is 7 months and is the comparable weight as mine already, they are all so diverse. as long as you voice any concerns to your wellness customer at weigh ins they ought to reassure you, yet i think of the burden is general.

Nope. Babies DO grow up to double their weight within 3 mths. See it all the time. Try checking growth charts, or ask the doc who's giving him the shots to chart them for you.

I always knew that society had become weight-obsessed, but this caps it off!
Your baby is normal. Your breast feeding is normal. Babies don't overfeed! Try not to fret!
