Get in?

Why on earth should I want to get in?

I'm 57 and I still love snow, just like I did as a kid. It's ever so pretty, and you can laugh when the cat runs out and all you see is the tip of its ears and tail.

In the north of the UK, we used to have proper snow, when you had to dig your way out of the house. The last time that happened was about 20 years ago, and I'm miserable about it.

I had such fun learning how to drive on snow, and I'm quite expert at it.

I loved the challenge of driving to work surrounded by 15ft snow-drifts on packed-ice roads.....life was fun, fun, fun.

Of course, there were a few accidents......cars upside down in fields, old ladies on their backs and children with red lumps on their foreheads when the snow ball was a bit too hard.....but only negative thinking people worried about it.

Trains used to get stranded, and what fun that was when the helicopters had to drop food or rescue pregnant women from frozen carriages.

I still have my old sledge in the garage, but would I dare to use it at my age?

I think I might, but it would have to be at dead of night, so people wouldn't gossip or try to get me certified.

Yep.....I like snow!

Light snow in Boston. Everything is covered with a blanket of white. So cool. I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, a little late.

That's Boston, USA. what's with all you chaps across the pond on this board? I didn't know it was international. Cheers.
