anyone read "redemption song" book about joe strummer? what did you think about him after you read it?

No, I haven't seen the book yet, and I am not sure I am likely to where I am. I still have a handful of 101ers songs, and of course the first album by the Clash. Joe was my guitar hero, but I never saw him perform live, which I do regret. I even made my own 'Brigade Rosse/RAF t-shirt like he had. I was in line with dozens of other rowdy punks back in 1980 when the film 'Rude Boy' came out. I was a solid Clash fan up until Sandinista! by which time I started listening to other bands. I was quite sad when he passed away. When I do get the chance I will get the book, and a good copy of 'Rude Boy' on DVD, and maybe that live Clash CD which I still haven't heard yet.
