I do not know that there is any pre-paid cell phone plan that will give you unlimited nights and weekends. Pre-paid plans are designed to give the customer a "bucket" of minutes in exchange for the pre-payment which will typically be valid for 30 days or more, and the per-minute-or-fraction-therof charge does not typically go down with regard to time of the week. The most affordable one available that I know of, is the one that I have. It is Liberty Wireless' (advertised as 2,000 minutes for $ 100.00) actually 1,995 minutes per month pre-paid plan for (in my state) $ 114.24 including all the taxes and fees. $ 14.24 of this is taxes and fees, in PA. It starts on the calendar day of the month on which you make the bucket-of-minutes payment. Unused minutes after the same calendar day of the following month, are forfeited.
It averages to 5.73 cents per minute, if you use the full bucket on or before 28 - 30 days. Not free, but very affordable And you can check your minutes remaining, from your phone or the Liberty Wireless web site.
Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card is a must with them, since their "electronic check" method of receiving payments is a JOKE -- do not attempt to use "electronic check !!" The initial handset purchase for me, a cheap, no-frills Nokia 2270, was $ 38.09 including tax and shipping, in early November 2006. You can first purchase the phone, and take your time about getting the initial minute load. You may even order the phone and service plan through my web site (the link is below) and I will rebate you the small 7- to 8- dollar initial bonus your online order generates. IBO number is 4736881. 32-bit encryption ensures the security of your credit/debit card information. Customer service (800) 253-6500.
