I'd have to say androgynous for me since I'll never be caught in a dress or skirt or anything very girly.

I consider myself HUMAN and Butch

To me, 'androgynous' has a very specifc meaning, associated with not merely acting or dressing/styling myself between the extremes of butch or femme, but also looking the part of an androgyne. I don't know; that's probably not the correct definition, but if I saw a girl who was neither butch nor femme, but somewhere right in the middle, I wouldn't use the term 'androgynous'- I'd apply that more to boyish girls or beautiful men who could pass as either, the kind you say 'Is that a boy or a girl?'.

As for myself (bisexual, not lesbian), I identify as low, low maintenance femme- I can wear the pretty stuff now and then, but I never quite feel comfortable in it, always like I'm not passing it off and everyone can tell (versus those femmes who simply know they look gorgeous). But I'm definitely not butch in appearance, so I guess I've got to go with femme. But my behavior is probably more butch than anything else (I am certainly not girly). So call me 'other', I guess!

"Other" Or "Mom"( this being the ONLY lable I'm actually comfortable with)

I hate lables of any sort, but when pressed I usually just say I'm "gay."
I'm not specifically butch, but I'm not a hyper-femme, I'm not androgynous as I'm most definitely female...there's no hiding these attributes! But I'm also bisexual but lean much more heavily toward lesbian.
Guess that makes me lesbian by default since I've been with my partner for ten years and counting.

AND What's with the insulting out sister lesbians?
What kind of hateful power trip is that?
Aren't we just being a bit too catty for the morning here?

Not all lesbians prefer butch women (as you pointed out, because you don't). You're stereotyping. And everyone has different tastes. Not all women who look masculine are necessarily butch lesbians, and some men are attracted to tomboyish girls. It makes sense that some lesbians are attracted to tomboyish or masculine girls as well. Not all women feel the need to be feminine, and not all lesbians want to be with someone who is feminine.

I wouldn't say I was any specific 1. I am girly in ways and tomboyish in someways. I wouldn't want to be the girl in the relationship though, so I guess U could say, in the relationship, I'd be the butch with a feminih style.....like a metro dude.

Well the few lesbians that I know would never wear dresses or make up. I don't know what androgynous means so I would have to say betwwen the other 2 it would be butch.

Other! I never fit labels. About the most accurate would be butch to the point of being genderqueer, which I guess is in itself an attempt to escape labels.

I'm in the middle but would never wear makeup, a dress, or a skirt. I do wear "girl" clothes though.
