Yes you do need a sky hd box.but i wouldnt bother getting 1 yet,thers harley anything on it. the only thing i really watch on mine is football,but for £53.50 a month and £300 for the box i dont feel as though im getting a good deal from sky,all the films on the hd film chanells are repeated,i dont think ive watched 1 of them yet and ive had sky hd since June 06.

You *can*, but at the moment it's not really worth it. While the transmissions are in HD, most of the actual programming wasn't done in HD, so the picture quality isn't much better than generic Sky.

if you want to get HD quality pictures at the moment its only SKY HD or cable
The freeview version is rumoured, but not until analogue has been switched off, and you will need a new receiver for that too!!!!

No, you dont need it. I have it and I wish I waited a bit longer for there to be more channels. There is not a lot to watch, and after a couple of weeks the novelty wears off. Its not really special enough to justify the cost. "Yet"

If you want to watch it now you do, its quite expensive, the BBC are starting withit quite soon, probably within the next few months.
