Is it all relative or not? When I'm busy, got lot's to do etc time just flies. A whole weekend can shoot by if it's a good one. On the other hand counting down from, say 1.30pm until 5pm, when you are work. Time just takes forever to slowly plod on until hometime.

Why the hell does this happen?

The programme Braniac on Sky One/Three put this one to the test and found it was indeed a perception thing. When you do something you enjoy time "seems" to go faster. No Einstein Twin time paradoxes involved.

stop looking at the clock, it's like the saying 'a watched pot never boils' if you find something to do in the time you have to wait your mind becomes occupied with the task and the time seems to pass quickly, if your sitting around watching the clock you are litterally watching each and every minute pass by, which is not only torturously boring but it makes the time seem to drag.

I know - how frustrating is it! I am pretty sure though, that when you are bored, waiting for time to go by, it is slower... like someone is playing a joke on you, trying to wind you up!

I have this feeling too.

People cannot be getting the "good time" all the time. therefore, i would think God wants us to torture us by making us suffer SLOWLY and also valuing the "good time".

time is fixed and does not change, however the amount of activity held within a given amount of time makes it feel different, doing nothing=time going slow doing more=time goin by faster it's all in your mind!
