I'm trying to develop a debate for the agreement to raising the driving age to 18. Can someone give me as many points as possible, please?

The legal driving age in many countries is 18. Try and check out the statistics. Are there more or less accidents in these countries?

Most accidents involve either very young or very old people which is why I believe that 18 is a good age to start driving, and that people over 70 should have a health check every year in order to keep their license.

i feel the driving age SHOULD be raised to 18. facts show that in the past 10 years, the number of young driving deaths has surpassed the number of deaths in the vietnam war. what do you gotta say about that? since 16 year olds are always going to want to have friends jam-packed into their car with them, they have a higher chance of crashing (statistics show that the more people in the car, the higher risk of an accident) teens crash due to mostly distractions like phones, friends, music...and things like that. also due to their inexperience and immaturity (yes...im young... and havent reached 16 yet...but i know that 16 year olds want to do what they think is better....and not caring what the problems on the road are or even the speed limit....) well, thats all i have to say for now...and the site that i got most of my stuff from should be below...

I'm not going to give points to an argument to have the already greatly extended adolescence in the US to be pushed further back. I think we should be encouraging the proper instruction and training of pre-teens and young adults in as many skills as possible so as to avoid not only traffic, but perhaps even common household accidents. America should be the land of the self-sufficient if it intends to be the home of the free.

It will age 21: One reason only The federal government mandates it.
it will be enforced by two suggestions:
1) - Do it or lose Federal Highway Funds
2) - Don't need the funds then lose Welfare Funds (Social Service)
Don't believe it: Do states have legal drinking age of 21; do states have standard license plates; issue standard driving licenses; national speed limit is 55MPH with a higher limit in certain areas permitted by state governments with approval of federal government. age for smoking is an example to consider

Because it is scary for the rest of us, when we see children speeding and talking on cell phones, and not having the experience to deal with the unexpected things that come up when driving.
