when i reached age 29 my periods became inconsistent. there were times that it reaches up to 9 or more days. a year ago i was diagnosed to have a polyps on my endometrium. doctor had remove them thru dillatation and currettage. and i was made to take oral contraceptive pills to regulate my periods. i stopped the pills since i got married, and its been 3mos now yet i'm still not pregnant. maybe because of my long days of menstruation, and my fertile days cannot be predicted. recently, my ob-gyn gave me clomid on the 2nd day of my period, yet until today, (9th day) i still have menstruation, now i don't know when is my fertile dates anymore. i was thinking maybe i should fix my irregular menstruation first, because i'm starting to have lower bp and i'm so pale now. but how do i fix my problem with my long days of menstruation? how do i get pregnant with this dillema? help please.thanks

I have similar problems to yours. I've been trying to get pregnant for a few years. After seeing 3 different doctors, I finally had one test me for an insulin resistance. It will cause you to have irregular cycles, which causes you to not ovulate properly. If you don't ovulate properly, then your follicles (eggs) won't reach maturity. If this is the problem, it is treatable by taking Glucophage (which is what they use to treat Type 2 Diabetes).

I'm not sure why your doctor gave you Clomid on day 2 of your cycle. It is supposed to be taken on days 5-9. I took Clomid for several months. It only worked the first month I took it, but I still didn't conceive. I have now begun Follistem injections to make me have mature follicles. It worked and we find out if I'm pregnant in a few days.

If you are really serious about getting pregnant, I recommend going to a fertility specialist. There is only so much a regular OB/GYN can do. I also recommend the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility." It explains in great detail how to chart your cycle and what the results mean. It also explains different medical problems that can cause you to not conceive and why.

Good luck!!!

First off ALWAYS keep track of your periods. Irregular or not! You can calculate your most fertile time this way still. Keep a log for at least 3 months. Then go to mywebmd.com there is a system in there to help you find your fertile days still.
Also, if you are serious about becoming pregnant, then start taking multi vitamins. Ones that are high in Folic Acid. And talk to your dr's about taking iron pills also. You state here that your bp is lower. Well thats ok. Mine is normally 92 over 58. That means little except that you might need some iron in your system there also.
Heres my advice. Good Luck!!!

Since you had the polyps removed it shouldn't affect your fertility. If you've only been trying for 3 months, just relax. When we first started trying, I obsessed over everything. That takes the fun out of it. My advice would be to stop trying so hard. That's when most people do get pregnant. Good Luck. Enjoy your marriage and let God do his part.

If you want to track ovulation you need to get something that tracks it. Like a clear blue fertility monitor I can tell you they are wonderful. I personally have one and it tells you the days you have low fertility high fertility and your peek days. It gives you between 4-5 high days and at least one peek day if not 2. I highly recommend it and you can get one on eBay with the sticks for about 120 bucks with shipping! Hope that helps if you need to email me give me a email at Megdizzy22@aol.com.

open it up to your ob-gyne and im sure ul get some help from her...
my ob-gyne is 33y/o and has PCOS and she's pregnant now. it inspires me, it gives me hope, i hope you feel the same way.. pray harder... good luck to both of us.
