I have my own defintion. My defintion is that a libertarian is one who believes in small government and that the government should stay out of the ecnomoy. Which means that what even a stronger formfo capitalism than we have at this time. They advocate liberty over restrictions by big government. Nothing of what that one kid said is a libertarian. That sounds more like a liberal to me.

first off stimpy confused libertarian with liberal. two separate animals. a true libertarian believes that a government should not regulate anybodies private or business life. government is suppose to exist only to protect people from enemies without (why we need a military); as well as law enforcement for victim crimes such as: murder, rape, robbery. they would then remove government from everything not related to those main two topics. so their would be no public schools, highways, or any of the federal department other than Defense, Treasury and Justice.
since 9/11 new forms of libertarians have emerge he would support a larger military and military prevention as well as some social regulations like abortion. they call themselves Neo-Libertarians, but many regular libertarians don't consider the neo's as true libertarians.
for more info on libertarians check out their website at liberarian.org, and wikipedia.com also has good stuff on libertarians.
ps stimpy;s definition of liberals is still wrong.

In the end it doesn't really matter if your a Demican or a Repulicrat or a Liliputian. The system of checks and balances pushes agendas through that aren't worth a shxt and stops others that are. It doesn't matter who is in office.

When was the last time, in any election...local, state, or national where you voted for a Republican or a Democrat or whoever, and you can look back and say..."You know, those (insert Repbs. or Dems. here) really did something! They really accomplished a lot in their term this year!"

Can't ever recall saying or hearing that? Hmm...me neither.

A Liberal is someone who seeks to destroy traditional family values in exchange for no family values at all, thus introducing near-chaos, and near-anarchy into society. A Liberal is someone who seeks to destroy capitalism, and industrialism, turning a country with a first rate economy into a third world country. A Liberal is someone who seeks to destroy democratic republics in exchange for a socialist/communist form of government. A Liberal believes that the government can solve any and all problems within a society.

Added: OK...I'm man enough to know when I'm wrong and can admit it. See, I changed it. I did get it confused with the definition of a liberal...sorry...my new question to you is:

What's the difference between a republican and a libertarian, because they sound the same to me?
