on the memory box click change .
in my case the initial was set at 333 and the max 672 .
i deleted 333 entered 600 and clicked the set button and ok .
i don't think i needed to but i then restarted my com and it's much faster .

What you just did was to change the Virtual Memory of your computer, not the RAM itself.

The Virtual Memory is a way to use your HD as if it was a RAM.

It will be faster for sure, but it has limitations.

If you still having trouble, ideally you should upgrade your physical RAM.

Good luck!

I checked out your solution and it will not work for me because mine was already set to the max level possible. I speed-ed mine up by changing the way I protect my computer. I only use Windows Defender and Windows Firewall and a free virus checker. My PC now works much faster than when I ran Norton and McAfee - Nortons was very bad and would slow everything down considerably. There is some risk but because I do not go to high risk websites and use Yahoo mail, which is virus checked, its acceptable.

u can't increase ur ram by doing that.
it is usually 256 or 512 Mb
but the ones now are up to 1G
which are apparently lightning.
what u did was to increase the virtual memory.
this can lead to problems later on so if ur pc
starts to crash or programmes not run properly u
may have to reset!
good luck tho and i am interested to see the answers u get from neone really in the know.

thanks for ur kind though for us u sound like my kinda gal!!

Umm you have no clue what you are talking about. You cant change your RAM in windows, it is a physical CHIP and you need another one to have more.

You probably just increased your paging file which anyone can do but it is not good to do it unless you have the correct amount of RAM to function by.

There is no such setting... you have forgotten some steps in your instructions. Be careful not to mess around with virtual memory settings unless you know what you are doing - can easily lead to crashes (and actually slow your machine down in the process) if you get it wrong.
