I had this question removed , however i am asking again as i believe it shows the sad state that are nation is in. If someone is branded a racist they cannot appeal or question it? . Minorities are now the majority in terms of freedom of speech?

Totally agree with you. And it's a perfectly valid question that shouldn't have been removed. People crying racism falsely deflect attention from true cases of racism.

difficult to say as a white middle class male I do not really come against racism that often. My friends girlfriend is very uneasy about rasict comments that she endures regually she is of mixed race and works for a national (UK) company and is one of very few non whites. She is never sure if her promotions are on her own merit or to keep quotas up.

In an ideal world there would be no racism, positive or negative. We need to understand that everyone has prejudice of some kind. It might be that you call people chav's, don't like people with posh accents or from the next estate. We seem to forget that we are still animals and still have a pack mentality a lot of the time. - perhaps we should try and confront all of our prejudice and the only way to do that is intergration.

I don't know why you had your question removed, because I think it's a good question.

No, I don't think the cry of "racism" comes easily these days. I think what we have just witnessed on Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother, demonstrates that the cry did not come soon enough.

If more people cried it sooner, then a lot less harm would be done. More often than not people who get branded as racist, usually are racists - if it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, then it is a duck.

Freedom of speech does not provide anybody with the right to ridicule, bully and/or intimidate people because they belong to a particular culture or ethnic group.

I live in an area with a high Asian population, and I can honestly say that they are always crying racism and more often than not they are just being paranoid, or is it a ploy to behave any way they like with little fear of reprisals? I notice also that we suffer considerable racial abuse from mainly asian youths, which tends to go unnoticed.

Yes of course people cry racism much too easily. We have a big example at the moment with big brother and what Jade was supposed to of said. Jade herself has black in her,she wasn't been racist, and now Jade is the victim of abuse. Jade is tackles but that is as far as it goes, to make such an issue out of what one harmless woman said shows what a mad country we live in. What ever crime Jade has done, her punishment has been a million times it. What this whole situation has done has made me feel compassionate for Jade, and hate the Indian ***** for coursing all of this. If it was a sexist or ageist issue no one would care, but these comments can be even worse. The way Jade has been treated you would think she has murdered an Indian woman.

yes, although i feel people "cry" about anything too much lately. just recently the lady in california that passed away from wter intoxication after ingesting huge amout of water in a radio stunt. it is very sad that this happened, however she was a grown woman and should have known better. yes it was wrong for the radio hosts to joke about such a incident happening, but i don't think they or the station should be held responsible for what a grown woman in her right state of mind does to herself for a game console. people are just to quick to sue someone and not fast enough at accepting resposibility for their own actions.

I agree, I had two answers deleted and I've seens things far worse on here. People seem all too ready to cry racism I fear in this day and age. A little common sense would go a long way in this day and age.

The land of the free are no longer the land of the free, and immigration has seen to that, I believe it has forced multiculturalism into all countries, the leaders of the world know that multiculturalism causes violent conflicts and killing of Innocent people, that's how they accumulate wealth by sales of weaponry for the use of war, greed, and power, man truly has given away all his dignity and power to governments where their only motive is greed, power, and wealth, they have absolutely disregarded the respect and accountability to the people of their country, they have put them selves above the laws of the land through power and greed for wealth, and it is the people that gave that power to them, not realizing the destruction of mankind, may god truly have mercy on us all because we really do not deserve it.

i disagree...although some minorities may take it too far, racism is still alive and well. but that isnt easily seen unless you come out of your cocoon and look around with unbiased eyes. i think before you complain about "freedom of speech" being taken away from whites, you should think about how you would feel if the histories of blacks and whites were reversed.
