How do I copy my personal info from my windows xp home edition on to a floppy disk?.?

Ok, everytime I try to save/copy my personal info on to a floppy disk from my windows xp home edition I keep getting a pop=up that saids it is not accessible due to no ID address. The microsoft website said to reformat the floppy disk,but I don't understand how to do that? Any Ideas?????........Small Brain

To format a 3 1/2 floppy go to My Computer where it shows all of your drives. Right click the 3 1/2 floppy icon and in the menu that drops down will be a Format option.
