I need to have some work done on my 1997 Ford Ranger. Where can I get a picture of the engine? I would like to know if what I'm being told is the truth and a picture would help a lot.

Go to the library, or auto supply store.. Look at a Chilton manual... there will be what ever you need in there. At the library they don't typically allow you to check out the book, it's a number 1 favorite for book thieves....

Try looking at or buying a "Repair Book" for the Ranger @ your local auto part store the books have some pics of what you will be doing and it explains the work needed.
Other than that, i don't know where to look for pics of an engine compartment for the problem you've got...
