And you haven't taken her to the pediatrician because why?????? Why have you waited 5 months to be concerned about this? This is not normal, average infant behavior and you need to get her to the doctor immediately.

What has the doctor said? I'm presuming you have taken her to be looked at? because 5 month is a long time to be worried about something and yet you haven't done anything about it? This is a child we are talking about. She cant tell you what is wrong. I really don't mean to sound aw full but instead of asking people there advice on here, you must go right now to the hospital and let them check her over!! If I'm being honest you should be worried because it doesn't sound good to me. Go!

Hi, is she alert and 'bright eyed' when awake? Does she normally wake up when hungry? Usually children will not starve themselves unless there is a problem such as if she has mucus it may affect the way she tastes things. Do you feel she is not eating enough? If she is pooing regularly and is weeing (should be straw coloured) she will not be starving/dehydrated. What exactly has she been ill with? If you are worried keep returning to your doctor until he/she helps, speak to your health visitor for support and if you feel it necessary ask for referral to local paediatric unit at hospital for tests.

Have you taken her to the doctors? She may have a low immune system. But if she is sleeping her body is repairing itself or fighting infection. But i really do think you should speak to your doctor or health visitor.
