More than likely, he will be remembered in one of two ways: as a great man who got this country through the difficult time after 9-11... or else he'll be remembered as a dynamic dumkopf who got us into another Viet Nam-like conflict.

Personally, I admire his courage in speaking out about his Judeo-Christian beliefs as fearlessly as he has. Maybe we SHOULDN'T be in Iraq, but everybody makes mistakes. Cut the guy the same slack we all wish we could get and try to view his side of things... It's the least we can do.

The short term answer is most likely the Iraq War and massive tax cuts. The long term answer (which most historians and political scientists use) will not play out for more than twenty years after the Bush presidency ends. Historians and Political Scientists are still debating what presidents like Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan should be remembered for, and Carter hasn't been the president in almost three decades. The best answer seems to be that only time will tell.

Unless something else happens, 20 years from now he will be remembered most for being president during 9/11.

Assuming he doesn't do anything worse than he has done already (and I realize that is a huge assumption), I will remember him as the puppet president of daddy and Cheney, and the one who was president while the US Government killed its own on 9-11.
