Im australian and i know how to conert us dollars to aus dollars but i dont know how much a nickel or a dime is worth in cents, please help

nickel=5 cents/20 nickels=1 US dollar
dime=10 cents/10 dimes=1 US dollar

in america a nickel is now worth seven cents. go figure. supposed to be 1/20 of a dollar. dime is twice that but weighs half as much.

A nickel is a nickel and a dime is a dime. I would tell you about a quarter, but I don't have the time.

He likely offered you a dollar for it because there are not a lot in circulation yet. The mint has not released a lot of them. Take the dollar because the mint will get around to it.
