Because 'The Dirty Old Mens' Club' probably didn't get the membership numbers up years ago.

The term "Gentlemen's Club" is a very old one, it used to mean that women were refused entrance to the club so that "Gentlemen" could drink, smoke, gossip (although they didn't call it that!), gamble, etc. and their wives wouldn't be privy to what they were doing. Now, it's just a synonym for a strip bar where most (?) women don't want to go anyway. You're right, there is nothing "gentlemanly" about objectifying women, anywhere.

I've only been to a strip club once, and I didn't feel like I was objectifying women, I felt that I was being exploited and milked like a cash cow.
Honestly, strippers in bars have far more control over what they do and what they make men do than the other way around.

Those places are my idea of Hell. Why would anyone enjoy being tormented by women and having to pay for it too! It's weird. If it makes some people happy and women rich I have no problem with it. I just don't get it.
