Suns vs Wizards...Nash puts up 27 points and 14 assists. Arenas puts up 31 points and 4 assists. Both teams and players were up for this one. If Arenas were to make an MVP statement it would have been in this game. Follow on question - does the outcome of this game hurt Arenas chance for MVP?

He's in contention, but his biggest roadblock is politics amongst the judges. MVP voting is known for having politics going on behind the scenes. He's got a major case, but it may be tough.

I hope. However, competition this time will be very tough. There's Nowitzki who is also on a very good season. LeBron James and Gilbert Arenas are also fired up. It's tough but Nash is unbelievable right now. I hope he wins.

Why do you think he will. He has put up consistant numbers every year. He proved he can do it without Amare, and with him, and they are in the same spot. Atop the West. I think Arenas or Boozer might win it. If Nash wins it, hey im happy, but the fact is he wont. I'm sorry, he just won't.

Maybe, but this year's MVP should go to Dirk, although I wouldn't mind Nash winning it,but Dirk has been amazing so far.

starbury_crossover knows nothing, dont listen to him.
Nash doesn't have to do anything spectacular like most people think he does to win again, and he is rated #1 in MVP rankings so far. His team is live or die without him, and they are 2nd in the league, so he's MVPx3

NO, IT SHOULD GO TO WADE OR DIRK. ALSO THE 3 PLAYERS THAT WON 3 MVP'S IN A ROW (BIRD. RUSSELL AND WILT) ALL WON NBA TITLES. NASH HAS NOT EVEN BEEN TO THE NBA FINALS.
