no volvo bus service is there but tamilnadu road transport is having lots of services

Actually u dont have Volvo or any such bus services to Pondy and that is totally sad. I was devastated when they made us sit on a plain cushion seat bus and told us it was the best. But had to take it since there was not much available. You can find these in Koyambedu bus station which takes the ECR road. A much pleasurable one than the other route.

Well, actually there is no Volvo bus, better u go by Renganathan Travels, RathiMeena, MJT, RPN...these are the travels agencies which frequently go for Chennai to Pondicherry

u get buses from chennai to pondicherry at the muffasil bus terminus at the 100 feet road and also at the bus station opp central station in chennai.it shud take u 3-4 hours to get there depending on the driver.i dont think it is very expensive to take a bus.never travelled by bus to pondy

Rathimeena and parveen travels have volvo buses to pondy.these buses are routed thru pondy for various destinations.but there is no day buses.Rajnational express was operatiing a shuttle service to ponsy in day,but it was stopped last month.
