Supporting factors, imho are:

Character / personality of the attending child. The will to "make" something of yourself.

Also, teachers that know how to motivate a child will dramatically increase the change they`ll stick to it.

Support from parents is also a big one. Parents that don`t care convey a message that it doesn`t matter anyways.

um... whether or not he applies himself, cuz it's possible to rise above ur circumstances.
