London support group for people with braindead family member on life support?

Recently my girlfriends mother suddenly went into a coma and became braindead. Obviously this is very hard for her as the mother is essentially neither dead nor alive. Is there any kind of support group within London for situations similar to this??

Her Dr. should know of one or the hospital she is in might have one.

Contact your local clergy. I'm sure in a city the size of London there should be several.
