Can you become anemic if you menstrate for more than a month?

I'm trying to convince my friend to go to the Dr. so any encouragement would be great here...

If your friend has been mentruating for a month she badly needs medical attention. She could become severely anaemic and be in danger of fainting attacks. It isnt normal to go for so long without a break and she must get attention. Good luck in persuading her;
