People dont understand that you cant put harsh chemicals on the carpets it ruins the carpet dye spots.. You can use some club soda and blot it up with a towl if that doesnt work call your local Chem-dry and ask for a can of professional spot remover and that should take care of the problem. I wouldnt put anything on the carpet that isnt intended specifically for carpet I have seen alot of carpets ruined becuase of it.

First us a equal mix of vinigar and water to remove the smell then blot that with a cloth that will soak excess water up then go purchase some Resolve Granules found at Walmart or grocery store. The Resolve comes with a brush and removes almost everything. Even the professionals use it on wine, kool Aid. It's great.
