The problem has been spotted and is being monitored so there isnt any more you can do. The problem is probably very early stages so nothing to worry about as long as you keep the check up appointments. There may come a stage when treatment is necessary but its highly sucessful;

I'm assuming you are talking about a pap smear...but anyway, assuming this, you should be concerned but not necessarily worried. Anytime a result shows abnormal cells, it is cause for concern. I have had abnormal paps for years but have never had any problem with them. The results can be affected by several variables. I know once my doctor said mine could be messed up because I take baths instead of showers.

Most importantly, PLEASE, follow your doctors advice and go back in six months for a followup. The piece of mind you get from doing this is priceless...and if there is a problem, the sooner you know about it, the sooner it can be fixed.

I just had a pap smear come back abnormal back in Oct. I had the Leep procedure done and now I go back every 6 months, to make sure they got all the bad cells out and that new ones haven't grown back. Just make sure you do as your doctor says and continue to go to the appts.

I had that happen to me a year ago. That's when I found out that I had HPV. But it's being monitored with paps every 6 months. Plus, even if it is HPV, you won't feel any differently or anything.
Basically, as long as you're under a doctor's care, I wouldn't worry!

Good luck sweetie! I'm rooting for ya!
