The killer is 18 years old, high school dropout obviosly he knows nothing about history, particularly Turk history because Armenian Genocide discussions in Turky is forbidden by law. He was thought by nationalist Turks to hate and kill those who dare to say a word about the Armenian Genocide in Turkey. It is Turkish government that is responsible for Hrant Dink's death because theye are the ones who feed hate to the public politically and socially. Ottoman Empire did it and they continue politically. Turkey should not be surprised by Hrant Dinks murder it was expected and they knew it was going to happen soon or later. Not to mention the death threats to Orhan Pamuk, Agos newspaper recently after the murderer is caught. That makes it obvious that there is a death squad within the government of Turkey opperating underground while the government officials condemn his death and participate in his funeral to show the world different picture. Hrant Dink is the last victim of Armenian Genocide.

As a Turk I think its terrible, his funeral was live on Turkish national TV and every Turk watched it in tears as he was a great journalist I didn't always agreed with what he said but did like him, killer is 17 year old very twisted boy and in custody right now, El Chris couldn't be more wrong by the way...what has this got to do with genocide for god sake..

The killer (to me clearly mentally ill) misinterpreted what Dink said in his paper and planed to kill him with another young boy who he met on Internet....It is truly sad...

while its turned into a political hatred by some Armenian friends, I would like to remind you that these sort of murders do happen in U.S and any other countries(which shouldn't but they do) and that country deals with it, Turkey is dealing with it, people mostly Turks has not stop protesting it since it has happened give us some credits...

It was such a genius conspiracy that evrybody across the world would think The Ottoman Empire really committed theArmenian genocide 90 years ago and Turks are still doing this. They hit the point and reached their goal, because all those who bears bias and prejudices and hostile feelings against Turkey now have stronger hands.Congratulations to them!

It saddens me that more people in the US don't know about it.
Hitler, early in his genocide against Jews, argued that they could get away with it because, as he said, nobody was worried about the extermination of the Armenians anymore, were they?
So, the Armenian holocaust was the precursor of the Jewish holocaust.
And it is still forbidden in Turkey to admit that it happened.
