Hey, they are probably very nice people if you knew them. Archie was an outstanding QB at Ole Miss who played for awful New Orleans Saints teams early in their existence. Peyton played on very good Tennessee teams but was disappointment not to win the Heisman and ever beat Florida. Eli played at Ole Miss and helped make that school competitive again in the SEC. A family of outstanding QBs. I think the criticism stems largely from the role Archie had in the NFL draft when Eli was drafted by the Chargers and then traded to the Giants. If my memory is correct, Archie made it clear that Eli would not play for the Chargers and wanted to play for the Giants. This "ruffled some feathers". And of course, Eli is hyped unbelievably but not performing very well in New York. I think a lot of people are also put off by Peyton when in previous playoff losses he has blamed his offensive line for letting the team down. Personally, I'm happy for Peyton he finally got the AFC Championship at Indy. This has been one of the top teams in the AFC for at least 3-4 years. But, I disagree with you that the Bears are a cupcake win. I think this game will have poor TV ratings with two teams from geographically close cities. I'm not nearly as interested in this game as a SB with the Chargers, Patriots, Saints, or even the Seahawks in it. I do agree with you that the Manning family gets way too much publicity and I'm getting extemely tired of hearing it simply because it has been done so many times.

Being a HUGE Pats fan my entire life, this game was dissapointing. But give Manning his due. The Colts never cried like the Chargers or the Raiders when they lost. I was more sickened when Elway finally won. I hated Elway. Besides this may not be as cupcake a win as people think. At least the Pats aren't pissing and moaning about losing.

A cupcake win? Are you joking? The bears match up with the colts well, so it shoud be a tough game. The bears did extremely well...
The Colts had to take on the Pats and Ravens, are those cupcake teams?
What really makes me sick is Tom Brady, he's such a d*ck head and is from the Unviversity of B*tchagain. (MICH) I'm glad to see the colts go to the Superbowl instead of the unclassy pats

Sounds like someone is a sore loser. Peyton and his team won not his family. From what I hear the whole family is close and very nice. The game against the Bears will not be that easy. Just ask the Saints.

Maybe this sounds bad, but I'm most sick of watching that David Garrard "I have a disease and I overcame it" commercial. At least the Manning commercials can be entertaining at times and I don't see them that often. All of that said, if Capital One would get rid of their "card lab" commercials I would be a happy guy. And if Jack Links would make more of the "Messin with Sasquatch" commercials, those are hilarious.

They won that game by playing better football than the Patriots. Now the Patriots get to go home and watch their biggest rivals win the Super Bowl because New England played a cupcake game....
HAHAHA!!! Go Colts!!!!!!!

No. Actually they are very nice. They are very humble people. Peyton donates a lot of money to the orphanage of the city of Knoxville, TN and organizes a lot of fund raisers to help out with the children's hospital and animal shelter of the same city. Even though, he graduated from UT 10 years ago, he calls himself a TRUE VOL. He is very family oriented and he loves his wife dearly. You'll never see Manning with some type of super model or actress or whatever of high profile. He enjoys the simple life as much as his family. He is just the typical southern boy who eats a lot of mashed potatoes and fried chicken. Let's not judge people when you don't know them personally.

awww, don't be mad. it is such sweet justice that the pats fans are sore losers. i guess sh*t truly does trickle downhill from belechick to the monday morning QBs. cupcake win? you must 10' 6' 530 lbs of pure muscle to think facing the bears d is a sinch!
im sure the third string kicker for the cleveland brown uses his status as a pro football player to pick up chicks. it goes with the shoes you fill. and i'd say payton's handled his success with a lot of grace considering he's the best QB in the league right now.
