Practice, practice, practice....speak into a recorder, too, and listen to yourself....Join a club.

Well, I was glad to see the added note! My first thought was that speaking English correctly would be a good start. I took Spanish and French, and the only true way to end up using them, is to actually USE them in conversation, regularly.

Use Pimsleur's technique. I use it and it works like a charm. I'm learning Japanese for business propositions when I grow older.
